Dear All,

Gosh it’s busy at the moment. This week we have had two visits from our new entrants in September and some stayed for lunch yesterday. Some were crying because they didn’t want to leave at the end of the morning! Yesterday saw the Mini Olympics and flag come to Stower Provost School with St Gregory’s Marnhull visiting for the afternoon and luckily the sun shone down on them! Great fun was had by all and a big thankyou to Rosie Thompson and her young leaders from Gillingham School who organised the event and a big thank you also to the parents who help provide refreshments. Today is sports day I’m hoping the sun has shined and by the time you read this, that we have had a fantastic day of sport at school.

Friday we interview for the vacant teaching post for September and I will update you on this a soon as I can and also finalise arrangements for class teachers for September. Then next week is Den Building and Forest School Set up. If you are able to offer some muscle for an hour that would be great. We still need lengths of wood or branches for the Dens and also logs and planks for seating. Plus materials for the ‘bug hotels’ bamboo canes, pipes, old tiles, straw/hay, bark/wood off cuts, bricks. Den Building Day is a non-school uniform day, please bring wellies and a coat just in case, because we will be going out whatever the weather. In exchange for non school uniform could you please send in a jar of sweets for the Hoopla stall at the BBQ, thank you.

Then Next Friday at 5pm is the PTFA BBQ please come along and support. ‘Faye’s Dance Crew’ will be performing, there will be fun and games, swimming, a bar, food and of course the huge bouncy castle. There might even be a teacher in the stocks! So please bring some penny’s to spend, it should be a great evening.

Kind regards

Martin Marshall
