ICT

The national curriculum requires children to develop higher order skills in computing. We have a trolley of laptops which each class can access for independent learning and research using the schools wireless network, now Superfast thanks to the Connect the Classroom and Rural Gigabit Connectivity programmes. Every classroom has an interactive white board and teachers and pupils use IT across a range of subjects to enrich learning across the curriculum.

Our iPads complement the laptops and these are proving to be a very exciting way of accessing new learning materials and opportunities across the school. BeeBots, laptops, Crumble and iPads are used to develop the children’s programming skills, using a range of suitable programming resources. Our school is fully protected with appropriate use of filters and firewalls and our children are taught to be responsible users both at home and at school.
