Moving up to Secondary School

Stower Provost is a feeder school to Gillingham Secondary which has a very good reputation in the local area. We have strong links with staff there, and the transition of pupils is eased through visits and a variety of activities. Staff at Gillingham also organise a plethora of sporting activities, under the banner of the Gillingham Family Sports Events. These events are either held at the secondary school or other appropriately sited sporting locations.

Other schools in the area are at Shaftesbury, Sturminster Newton and Sherborne and while we occasionally have children who make those choices, the vast majority go on to Gillingham Secondary when they leave primary education.
