Inclusion and SEND

SEND and Inclusive Provision at Stower Provost Community School

At Stower Provost School, we are dedicated to providing a truly inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported and able to thrive. We firmly believe that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish, achieve their potential and develop a strong sense of belonging within our school community.

Led by our focused and dedicated SENCO, we work tirelessly and with compassion to identify and meet the needs of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Through thoughtful planning and the implementation of reasonable adjustments, we strive to ensure that all children can access a broad, balanced and enriching curriculum that meets their individual needs, both in the main classrooms or in our Cedar room space.

We recognise that successful SEND provision is built on strong partnerships. We are committed to working collaboratively with families, parents, carers and external professionals to ensure that each child's needs are understood and supported effectively. By fostering positive relationships and maintaining open communication, we aim to provide the very best educational experiences for every learner.

As an inclusive school, we carefully consider whether our provision, expertise and environment are able to meet the specific needs of each child. Our priority is always to ensure that children are educated in a setting where they can feel safe, thrive and achieve success. We work closely with families and professionals to determine whether Stower Provost School is the right environment for each learner and to ensure that any provision put in place is both meaningful and sustainable.

Children are at the heart of everything we do. Our inclusive ethos underpins all aspects of school life, ensuring that every child is celebrated for their strengths, supported to overcome barriers to learning and given the opportunity to participate fully in school life.
