Dear All

Acorn’s Assembly proved to be another musical feast! After learning about the lifecycle of frogs, presented in a number of different ways, the audience of 20 parents and younger siblings were treated to an enthusiastic performance of ‘a rock song’. The smiles on Acorns’ faces were broad and the singing cheerful. There were also some accompanying instrumentals. After the normal range of certificates, the children (at their own request) became a bit of a Queen tribute band.

Our Stars of the week were Alfred, Joe, Ashleigh and Oscar. Silver reading certificates went to Jasper, Daniel and Miranda. A total of 15 Silver certificates (for reaching 20 stars) were awarded: Adam, James and Florence in Chestnuts, and to everyone in Acorns! The first Gold certificates of the school year went to Rosie and Freddie. Owen brought in a rosette which he had won with his pet, Jess, in a recent dog show. Well done all of you!

There’s still time to add to the Sponsorship of our Swimarathon team – just ask at reception. Good luck for Saturday, swimmers!

If you haven’t already seen it, there’s a full page article on our school in ‘Country Child’, contributed by Mrs Heasman and Mrs Ballett – thank you to them for arranging it.

The new lunch menu is being sent home tonight, please remember that Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 meals have been block booked, however you are able to log in and change your child’s options.

Clubs: Many thanks go to Mr & Mrs Beeson for running the Animation Club over the past few weeks.  The children who attended have had a superb experience.  Further information on exciting Summer Term Clubs will follow soon.
