Dear Parents and Carers
The children have really settled well back in school after Christmas. It has been good for me to have the chance to go around the classes and see them at work, and their focus and interest in their learning has been very encouraging.
Clubs
At the bottom of this newsletter is a slip to return to request a place at one of our after school activities which start next week. Please complete and return the slip so we know who is expected to be staying after school on each day.
Parking
I have enjoyed the opportunity to talk with many of you at the beginning and the end of the day. Please do come and talk to me about any aspect of the school you feel I need to know more about. I feel I need respectfully to remind everyone of the need to exercise extreme caution when driving on school property, and to observe a maximum speed of 5mph as you drive in and out. Please also keep a close eye on children while preparing to leave, as many cars have blind-spots preventing drivers from gaining a clear view all around them.
Curriculum Plans
The plan for the term in each class is now on the school website. This will give you an overview of the learning taking place in each subject. Coming home will be a news update for each class, reminding you of some of the activities and expectations of the classes. There will also be details of the Home Learning project and an invitation to the Curriculum Showcase afternoon, from 2:30pm on Friday 23rd February.
