Dear All,

Wow! What a fantastic turn out for the Christmas Tree Service and the Christmas Bazaar last Friday! Thank you all for your support and for making last Friday a super atmosphere and a great way to start the Festive Season. You all helped raise a whopping £570! For a school our size I think that is a great achievement, thank you for your generosity and for all of you that gave up your time to help out. The book fair also raised a fine sum and has meant the school now has a new collection of books which can be seen displayed in the library at the moment.

Let’s hope that the Carol Service tonight at 4pm and the Scrooge production are equally well attended. A great deal of time and effort has gone into the production, so can you please make sure your child attends all performances. Remember that you will need a ticket to attend the Christmas production, ask Mrs Pike if you haven’t sorted yours out yet.

With the weather beginning to get colder, could you please ensure your child has a coat in school for break and lunchtime. But still no sign of snow!

Kind regards

Martin Marshall

And Finally……

Last week we sent out a reminder that Monday 4th January will be a Staff INSET Day, so no children in until Tuesday 5th January. The teaching staff will be spending this day working on the future developments of the school. We will be reviewing our achievements so far on the Schools Development Plan, to ensure that every child at Stower Provost reaches their full potential by increasing achievement and progress. Also we will be reviewing the schools policies regarding personal development, behaviour and welfare and in the new year sharing these plans with you and finding out your thoughts as parents.

As a school, we value the part parents play in school and the development of their children. I hope that with increased opportunities in the future you will continue to take part in activities with the school. In the New Year there will be chances to find out more about internet safety and keeping your child safe on line. There will also be the chance to do some shared learning with your children. Watch this space – The adventure of life is to learn!
