Newsletter – 16.04.15
April 18, 2015 Gareth

Dear all,

I need to start this newsletter by saying a big thank you! My thanks goes to all the pupils, staff, parents and friends of the school for the warm welcome you have given me in my first few days as Head Teacher at Stower Provost School.

I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. For those of you that don’t know me already I have been teaching for the past 18 years. In this time I have taught across three key stages, from 4 year olds up to 13 year olds. I am really glad that I will have the opportunity to continue to teach and at some point will no doubt be teaching your child.

I am passionate about the education of your children and hope my time at the school will allow me to build on the great foundations of learning already established at the school. Exciting times!

My ‘spare time’ is taken up enjoying walks with my family and Springer Spaniels and cheering on Exeter Chiefs RFC!

There is an opportunity to meet me on Friday afternoon, I look forward to meeting you all then.

Lets hope this spring sunshine continues to shine on into the weekend!

Kind Regards

Martin Marshall

Parent Questionnaire – Your view really does matter

Please could you complete the parent questionnaire, if you haven’t done so, already. The more people that can fill this in the better. It will give me a picture of the school currently. So don’t miss your opportunity and follow the link from the website (in the top left hand corner), or click on THIS LINK  Thank you!

SATs Talk

Testing of children at the end of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

There will be presentations for parents of children in years 2 and 6 after school next Thursday, the 23rd of April, concerning ‘SATs’. This will be a chance for you to find out about the testing that we are required to carry out, and for you to ask questions. For year 2, please meet in Acorns’ classroom and for year 6 in Oaks’ classroom. We are aiming to start as soon as possible after the end of the school day, and the presentation should take no more than a half an hour. For the year 6 presenta-tion you are encouraged to bring your child with you.

Dates

Please look out for this terms dates and also details of clubs coming up this term. They could be nestled safely in the bottom of that book bag

And Finally…..

Sun Safe – With this unseasonably warm weather could you please ensure your child has a hat and labelled water bottle in school. Also if you could slap on some sun screen before they arrive at school, that should see them through to the end of the day. This means your child is safe to enjoy the wonderful space we have outside! Thank you
