Dear All,

After one ‘false start’ due to problems with the pool at Clayesmore, we sent a small select team to the DSSA Year 4 swimming gala on Tuesday. Our swimmers did well, and in fact all achieved ‘top 2’ finishes is in their heats.  A particular success: the relay team’s wins in their heats of both the medley and freestyle relays. Well done to Henry, Rose, Hannah, Emilie and Eden and thank you to Miss Martin for managing the team at the pool. Thank you also to Mrs Carter for her involvement on the poolside and to all parents for transporting and supporting the children.

A huge well done to all the year 6 pupils and Mr Covell for all their hard work this week on the SATs Tests.

Your view matters. We would really like to know what you think of the school. On the top of the school website there is a link to the 2016 Parent Survey. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/7DMB8SN  We would like to know how we are performing against the Ofsted Parent View criteria. Please take a few minutes to complete, it will really help us to continue to move the school ever forward. If you don’t have internet access there are paper copies available from Mrs Pike.

Kind regards

Martin Marshall

And Finally……

Several parents have asked for help with homework. As a first step towards this we have put the calculation policy on the website and this gives the methods and the stages of progress that children go through as they progress through the maths curriculum. This can be found in Parent Info, policies. We hope that this helps but please ask if you still need help. We really appreciate that you are helping with homework.

A Reminder…

The Pre School after school club is proving popular. But are you aware that if your child is attending an after school club in school and you would like their sibling to go to the Pre school after school club, so you can pick up at the same time, this is available to you. Just arrange with the Pre school.
