13th November 2015

Dear All,
Thank you for attending the curriculum showcase on Friday. The atmosphere was amazing and the standard of the work produced outstanding. It was great to see so many people in the school enjoying the children’s work. I can’t wait for the next one. Thank you to the PTFA for providing refreshments. I hope you all took the opportunity to look at all the great work the PTFA do and that has inspired you to help in any way that you can in the future.
Yesterday we marked Remembrance Day with the whole school falling silent for two minutes followed by Thea and Rowan reciting the poem ‘The Soldier’ by Rupert Brooke to everyone. We also marked the day by the chil-dren looking at the British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and toler-ance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
Thank you to all who purchased poppies this week, enjoy a peaceful weekend.
Kind regards
Martin Marshall

Put the dates in the diary –

Internet Safety Apparently a few children in the school have mentioned having an ‘Instagram’ account. The Instagram site states: You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If your child does have an account then they may be able to access inappropriate images. Please check if you think your child might be involved.

And Finally…..
Well done to the Year 3 and 4 netballers who went to Gillingham School yesterday and represented themselves and the school so well at the netball festival. Next week we take on Milton On Stour at Football and Netball. Good luck to all involved!
