15th January 2016

Dear All,

I start this week’s letter with some fantastic news! I’m delighted to inform you that we have appointed a new teacher, Mrs Myatt, for the part time teaching role in Conkers Class from Easter. She is a very experienced Early Years teacher and has experience of teaching both reception and Year 1. She will be teaching Conkers on Thursday and Friday each week and Mrs Hartgill will be teaching on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. She will be a real asset to the school and a great addition to the teaching team. She will be visiting the school and class this term and liaising with Mrs Hartgill ready for her start in the Summer Term.

A reminder that with the weather getting colder, could you please ensure your child has a coat at school and that for PE they have clothes suitable for wearing outside e.g. Jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt. You may have heard from your children that we are all walking around the playground in the mornings before registration. This is a great success, with children engaging in exercise each day and also socialising as they walk. It has created a really good atmosphere and a great way to start the day.

Looks like the weathers going to get colder, might need to polish those sledges yet!

Kind regards

Martin Marshall

Clubs get into full swing next week. All those that applied got a place. There are only two places left in Key Stage 1 Art Club. There is still time to sign up if you haven’t done so already!

PTFA Valentine Disco is happening on Friday 5th February 5-6.30pm.

And Finally…… A reminder

There has been a few reported cases of head lice recently. Please do have a look at your child’s head once a week so that we can keep on top of the situation. As always your cooperation with this is appreciated.
