Tennis coaching

Tennis coaching
February 29, 2016 Ailsa Boardman Hirst

This morning we were lucky enough to have tennis coaching from Ian and Shaun at Griffin Tennis Academy.

First we warmed our bodies up ready to play tennis.

Then we had to bounce and catch the ball 30 times with two hands and then one hand.

Then we had to count how many claps we could do before the ball bounced up!
Next we worked with a partner to throw the ball over the net using an under arm throw and had to catch it before it bounced a second time.

After that we were allowed to use a racket to hit the ball back over the net to our partner. We had three goes at this.

It was great fun! A letter is coming home tonight to tell parents about the tennis club happening at Easter.
