Yesterday Acorn class were lucky enough to visit Lyde Farm owned by Mr and Mrs Trim (George and Tilly’s parents). Their milk is sent to Blackmore Vale dairies to be turned into cream, cheese, yogurt, flavoured milk and buttermilk.
The children were allowed to sample flavoured milk, peach and strawberry yogurt. This was followed by homemade scones, jam and cream.
Acorns were full of questions about the milking process having learnt about it in class.
They remarked they had had an amazing trip.
