Dear All,

Sorry about the delay on the newsletter, but we have no control over our power supply unfortunately.

Some good news for you all, before half term I forgot to introduce our new TA in Conkers Class, Miss Chambers. A big welcome to her! She has joined the team and has settled well to life at Stower Provost School already and I know many of you have already met her.

I had a really interesting meeting with Roger Bell from DCC Highways department on Wednesday about the concerns for children’s safety in the lane. We explored some ways of relieving the stress on the road at this pinch point. As you may have noticed a temporary measure is the cones at the end of the zig-zag.

Long term I hope that we will be able to extend the zig-zag and also create a coach drop off bay. Also BT are going to move the telegraph pole further into the hedge/field next week. Thanks to the Trims for allowing them to do this.

It was also suggested that if most or even all the traffic approached school from the Angel Lane end of the school and left the school heading towards the Stour Provost cross roads so that we had a ‘one way system’ in operation, this would allow traffic to flow easier and ease congestion and more importantly keep children safe.

Above all, I feel the solution to this is by us all working together to park and drive responsibly, which I know the vast majority of you do. As always your cooperation in this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Kind regards

Martin Marshall
